Moab Madness 2006

Upper Helldorado Trail is extremely challenging and isn't recommended for anyone without larger tires and a working winch due to the challenging waterfall toward the end of the trail. One false move and you'll be spending time on your top.

We had the pleasure of driving a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 out to Moab from Orange County, California, and let us assure you, it's one incredible ride. With 420 hp, 420 lb-ft of torque, and electronic, on-demand all-wheel-drive control, it was like driving a luxury race car and made our 12-hour drive go by much quicker.

Team Skilton's race-equipped Grand Cherokee was also on display and ready to tackle everything from the trails in Baja to the rigors of the Dakar Rally.

A '42 Willys MB was on hand to represent a little Jeep history.

In town, Jeep brought out a few of its show vehicles as well as some new models and the Jeep Hurricane concept vehicle. This was a popular stop along Main Street (we're sure you can see why!).

We couldn't assemble an article covering Moab, Utah, without showing you some of the gorgeous scenery it has to offer. Both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park are only a few miles out of Moab, and both are worth their $10 entrance fee. Be sure to plan a visit to both on your next trip out.
