After everyone found his way through the S-Turn (or around it on a bypass road), we finally ended up at the Waterfall section. It had rained pretty hard on us up until this point, but fortunately we got a short break which lasted just long enough to send everyone through. Steve Forman and his YJ had a tough time bumping up this area. After his third attempt, everyone expected him to give up, but when we asked him his opinion he said, "Oh no, I am doing this!" With a little more gas and a few more attempts, he eventually got through. These are the types of sections that make you want to keep building up your rig.

Howard Epstein's dash was covered in Jeep Jamboree badges. He has been attending these events since 1990, and by the time the 2006 Valley of Fire event rolled around, he had already traveled to five. With over 40 badges to his name, Howard knew exactly what to expect of his rig and had no problems whatsoever. He came out in his '81 CJ-7 Laredo, which sports 33-inch Goodyear MT/R tires and a Warn XD9000 winch for recovery tasks.
