Bill and Terry Carter took their '60 CJ-3B Jeep through everything with ease. Just goes to show that you don't need the latest and greatest to have a trailworthy rig.		 Oregon Trail Ride Jeep Wrangler Front
The second time over this section proved to be the charm for Steve Brown and his '97 Wrangler. His Rock Hard 'cage would become very useful toward the latter part of the day, but he had little trouble here. Both front and rear Dana 44 axles are stuffed with ARB Air Lockers. Early on, Mitchell Carter and his '52 CJ-3A Jeep made short work of one of our first obstacles. He drove one of two very well-equipped older CJs that consistently showed up some of the newer-model Jeeps. A few of his modifications include an NP435 case, a Dana 44 rear axle, Dana 30 front axle, ARB Air Lockers, and disc brakes all around. Experience behind the wheel doesn't hurt either.

This part of Izzy is just as steep as it looks. There is a bypass on the left for the not-so-brave. Everyone in our group made it up the difficult section, including Mike Freeman and his '91 Cherokee. The 7-inch custom long-arm suspension and Detroit Lockers proved to be the right combination for Mike's trail rig.		 Oregon Trail Ride Jeep Liberty Side
Seth's Liberty is far from ordinary. All J Products in Big Bear, California, fabricated a custom solid front axle for the SUV. In addition, this remarkable ride includes a custom suspension with a 6-inch Nth Degree Mobility Gyro Joint long-arm kit, a custom-built three-link front, Bilstein coilovers and shocks, and OME rear 80-series coils.
