A group of AEV Nth Degree Suspension-equipped TJs twist down John Bull Trail, located near Big Bear, California, in the San Bernardino National Forest. John Bull Trail is one of the most popular and more challenging trails in the Big Bear area.
Exploring local 4x4 trails is our favorite activity. Even though we may have traversed these paths many times before, each season brings new challenges as the terrain is reshaped by rainfall and snowmelt. We were feeling that itch to go explore in recent months and found relief in an invite from Chris Wood at AEV. Chris asked us to attend a trail ride in the San Bernardino National Forest along with Big Bear, California-based All J Products and a handful of AEV Nth Degree customers. We jumped at the chance.
We were invited to have fun on the trail for a "wheeling weekend" but also to check out the latest in AEV's Nth Degree Jeep Wrangler TJ kits and to hear about the now available AEV Nth Degree JK suspension line. Jim Frens and Chris Wood from AEV were in attendance to meet their many AEV Nth Degree customers and answer questions about each product.
We started out from Holcomb Valley Campground at an early and chilly hour and traveled through John Bull Trail and also Gold Mountain Trail. A total of 60 people and 32 Jeeps came out for AEV's Nth Degree "wheeling weekend." All of the Jeeps were equipped with either a complete AEV Nth Degree suspension system or other available AEV Nth Degree components. In addition to the Nth Degree Suspension line-up, AEV also supplies a vast variety of parts for Jeep vehicles, including Wrangler TJ and JK models.
After too quick of a day of 'wheeling, we headed down the mountain back home toward Los Angeles, a 1.5-hour drive at best. We'd satiated our thirst for exploring our local trails and were lucky enough to meet a handful of dedicated readers of 4 WHEEL DRIVE & SPORT UTILITY MAGAZINE, as well. We'd also witnessed first hand the awesome capability of the AEV Nth Degree Suspension line. It was a good day. Of course, we've never had a bad wheeling.

AEV Nth Degree Suspension
AEV offers a variety of Nth Degree Suspension kits for Jeep applications, including a 4.5-inch Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited system designed to clear 37-inch tires. Nth Degree lift systems are available for two-door JK Wranglers, as well. AEV's Premium line of lift kits includes the company's JK High-Steer kit and ProCal tuner, and many other JK specific parts are also offered. The complete updated Nth Degree TJ lift kit line-up is also available, as are the Nth Degree Stinger anti-wrap bar, Slider diff and drive shaft skid plate, Tummy Tucker skid plate, oil pan, and auto transmission pan skid plates, and more. All of the Nth Degree suspension components now feature a new two-stage coating process that utilizes a zinc-rich powder primer under a polyester powder top coat. This process offers better corrosion resistance than a one-stage process. Along with this improvement AEV also decided to change the color of the lift components from gray to a textured black.
