The road continues on, crosses the wash, and then hugs the slope on the right. Trucks were used to carry the ore down from the mine. Even if the road were still in its mining-days condition, this must have been a harrowing drive behind the wheel of the primitive trucks of the era. These days, it's an enjoyable hike that's not too far from the last pullout off of Caruthers Canyon road. View Related Article
