Yours truly showed up in the X-Blade Xterra. The X's tires were among the smallest on the trail run, but careful line choice and a locked rear axle conquered the trail in the end.

All-Pro's Chris Pittman put his camera down long enough to guide his nearly stock '88 4Runner through the twists and turns on Achy Breaky. Smallish tires meant that the rock sliders got a good workout.

The look says rock buggy, but there are still a few feet of stock Land Rover Defender framerail underneath the handmade side panels and the cage work. This section of trail was shared by the intermediate and easy runs. See what's meant by "easy" being a relative term?

Despite careful driving and ShrockWorks bumpers and rock sliders, the X went home with matching dents on both rear doors. Had the sliders been absent, the rocker panels and the rest of the doors would have been re-contoured by the relentless rocks at Stoddard. I got off easy.
