And for older kids, Camp Jeep set up a video arcade complete with off-road driving games and foosball. Along with the BMX course, the soccer clinics, and the paintball range, there was literally something for every taste and interest.
It was simply impossible to be bored on this enormous playground. If you weren't kayaking or learning to navigate with GPS, you had the opportunity to carve a walking stick, learn about forest ecosystems, or practice your fly casting technique. Ever wanted to learn wilderness survival skills? This was the place. How about practice your volleyball game with Gabrielle Reece? They had you covered. Go inner-tubing down the James River, discuss your portfolio with Money magazine, and then learn to fly model airplanes all in one day? No problem.
And for those more technically inclined, a fleet of Jeep engineers was on hand at numerous round-table discussions each day to answer just about any question you might have had about your Jeep.
It should be obvious by now that Jeep spares no expense in putting on this extravaganza. This point was punctuated during the Jeep Jubilee on Saturday night, which included celebrity impersonators performing music from the past 50 years. Guests were also treated to a sneak peek at some of the TV ads that Jeep will be releasing this year. The jubilee reached its zenith with one of the most spectacular fireworks displays we have ever witnessed. It was the perfect end to three days of non-stop fun.
Camp Jeep is more than just a corporate event. It is Jeep's recognition that its vehicles are more than mere transportation; they are indicative of a lifestyle. And whether you use yours for ski trips, off-road exploration, or for carrying gear to your favorite destination, you are still part of the Jeep family. If you have not been, perhaps it is time.
