When Becky started this whole project, she had no idea what color to paint the Cruiser. One day, while getting ready for a wedding, she grabbed a random bottle of nail polish, and with one swipe, she knew that was the future color of her Cruiser. She then wisely decided to keep her decision a secret, so as not to be the laughing stock of her family. Since her mom worked in a body shop, she was offered a booth for laying down the paint: a beautiful silver, mixed with violet and pearl. Less that two weeks later, Becky took the Land Cruiser on the TLCA Rubithon run and brought it back looking just as nice as it had going in.
As a side note, we'd like to thank Becky's dad for taking his wife on a cruise during the Rubithon event this past year. It allowed us the opportunity to schedule a shoot for the rig, without him having any knowledge that it was being featured in the magazine. He'll see it for the first time as it hits the newsstand. How's that for a surprise?
