Navigation Just Got Easier
Typically, when we get a navigation or GPS type of device to review, we throw it up on the dash and take it out to our favorite place to wheel. This time around, we spent 6,000 miles across four states with our Cobra Nav One 4500 navigation unit. This device has been mounted in our Project X-Blade Nissan Xterra since the day we received the keys. The Nav One is one of the best complete navigation units we have used to date.
We could go on and on talking about how much we have enjoyed using the Cobra Nav One 4500 navigation unit, but you should really pick up one for your rig and see for yourself.
Pirelli Scorpion ATR
A New All-Terrain Tire for a New Breed of Wheeler
Most of us want to spend our weekends playing in the dirt behind the wheel of a custom-built rock buggy or an aggressively built four-wheel drive with huge tires and massive amounts of articulation. Unfortunately, the majority of four-wheelers use the same vehicles that take them back and forth to work each day as their weekend off-road rigs or family getaway adventure vehicles. The new Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire is a great choice for the enthusiast who spends the majority of his time driving the streets, with the occasional weekend hitting the dirt.
Having spent time behind the wheel of a Jeep TJ equipped with these tires, we can tell you a few of the things we noticed. First, these are very quiet tires, which is refreshing when daily driving can be a chore. Second, on-road performance in both wet and dry conditions is great; we found the tires to grip the road with confidence at every turn. Additionally, in the dirt the tires planted themselves firmly on the trail and held traction through a variety of challenges.
These new tires are available in a range of sizes from 15 inches all the way up to 24 inches in both LT-metric and P-metric versions.
