On a moderate California trail in stock trim, the Nissan was pushed to its limit. The open diff probably contributed to the lack of forward momentum on tougher obstacles. Nissan's electronic four wheel limited slip did make the rest of the journey enjoyable though.

A road test from California to Texas helped us determine the overall expression of the Pathfinder in stock trim. While it didn't see too much off-highway driving, it got the job done at transporting the hunters and their dogs to the wildlife areas in the muddy watering holes.
2008 Nissan Pathfinder V8 Le Calmini Lift
This picture illustrates how Calmini achieves lift using the OE strut. Notice the blue piece between the top of the strut and the factory coil bucket. It has a similar effect to walking on stilts, and there is no actual increase in wheel travel, just elevation change.

The lift kit installation is a day long process and requires professional assistance with a battery of tools. To begin, anything that would hinder the front end suspension lift from going on had to be removed. Some parts were re-installed and others were put aside.

The Calmini kit includes new replacement cast steering knuckles, front differential drop brackets to correct pinion angle, and one-piece MIG-welded sub-frames.
