This aluminum tank located behind the passenger seat holds cooled water that comes from the A/C compressor. The engine-mounted A/C unit compresses Freon, and the evaporator is in the tank. This takes heat out of water, and a separate pump circulates water up to the air/water intercooler. The intercooler was supplied by Vortech. "They thought I was crazy," Chaz says, when he explained what he wanted to do. "They bent over backwards to help me, but they probably thought I was a nut." Maybe, but the system works.
