The wheelbase was stretched to 105.5 inches, which is the factory Wrangler Unlimited wheelbase of 103.5 inches plus 2 inches. This permits the Jeep to be legal for SCORE Class 3 (max 108-inch wheelbase) as well as Currie Jeepspeed Cup (max 116-inch wheelbase). With SCORE Class 3 you also have to retain an original style motor but Jeepspeed Cup rules allow installation of a variety of V8 engines.

Air-time is easy in Jon's Currie Jeepspeed Cup Wrangler thanks to the Full Traction suspension components and King shocks. The #3797 Wrangler uses Full traction links with custom pivot points tuned to King 2.5-inch coilover and King 3-inch, 3-tube bypass shocks. One of each shock is used at each corner to create 13 inches of travel in the front and 17 inches plus in the rear.

Jon Krellwitz and Matt McCallum were the main fabricators of the truck with additional fabrication and mechanical work done by Chris Amrein and Matt Vogler, and additional CAD drafting and machine work done by Kris Hernandez. The aluminum work was completed by Twisted Tin Motorsports in Fountain Valley, California, and also by Jason Robinson of La Habra, California. The RallyTops two-piece hardtop allows the rear half to be removed, which makes for a much cooler interior while racing in the California desert.
