Gordon (Gordy) Robbins of Logan, Utah, gets into the backcountry with his friends whenever he can. After selling his insurance agency to "retire," he purchased Sign Pros Graphic and Design in Logan and started again. Gordy's off-roading and exploring allows him to decompress and have some fun.
As his friends have good equipment, Gordon couldn't be left behind. He enlisted Mount Logan Off-Road to build this 2006 TJ Unlimited Rubicon. Since Gordy likes the vehicle to be a bit lower, Mount Logan installed an AEV Highline kit with its hood and high front fenders with flares. In the rear, Mount Logan built their own rear quarter panels with higher openings and used the AEV rear flares.
The Rubicon 44 frontend in the TJ was modified by Mount Logan. They beefed it up by sleeving it and gusseting the forgings. While it's not as critical to do this on TJ Rubicon 44s as it is on the JKs, strength is never a bad thing to have in the outback. An ARB Air Locker and 4.88 gears finished up the frontend. The rear has a Detroit Locker and 4.88 gears. Both front and rearends have forged axles.
Superlift 4-inch coils and Rancho remotely-adjustable shocks were used as part of the Mount Logan 4-link suspension. This includes long aluminum control arms and ditches the rear track bar in favor of triangulated rear upper arms. Four inches of lift is all that is needed to clear the 37-inch Cooper Discoverer STT tires on American Racing alloy wheels.

The TJ's 4.0L six-cylinder breathes easy with a K&N intake, Airaid throttle body spacer, and Rugged Ridge headers.
The 4.0L six-cylinder breathes better with a K&N air intake, Airaid throttle body spacer, and Rugged Ridge headers. A PSC ram-assist steering system makes steering a one-hand operation in the rocks. Behind the 42RLE automatic, a strong 4.3 Atlas transfer case gives Gordy the gearing he needs off-road.
For protection, a Mount Logan front bumper with Warn PowerPlant HP sits up front. Mount Logan's Rock Slide Engineering rocker guards protect the sides, as do their rear quarter/side panels. An Expedition One rear bumper with spare carrier is strong and rattle-free. Inside protection is handled by a combination OR Fab and Rock Hard TJ cage system.
