John Williams, owner of Impulse Off-Road in St. George, Utah [(801) 599-1609], took this well-used 2008 JK Wrangler Unlimited and built it into a vehicle its owner, Mark Harms, can be proud of. Before Mark could take delivery of his “new” JK, it was going to the SEMA Show.
John rolled the red Unlimited into his shop, stripped the old parts off, and cleaned up the frame, underbody, etc. He then proceeded to install the Currie RockJock 60 front and rear ends, Teraflex 4-inch LCG Long Arm suspension, body armor, and much more. John took the Jeep to the crew at Adventure Innovations so they could expertly install their Adventure Innovations supercharger with Diablo Sports programmer. John reported the drive back from Adventure Innovations shop in California was a blast. The blower woke up the 3.8L V-6!
The JK was finished the night before the SEMA Show started and spent a week in Las Vegas. Mark picked it up after the show and continues to put it in harm’s way (sorry). Most show vehicles work well in only one place — the showroom. This SEMA JK works so well it’s hard to believe it was built to be in the SEMA Show. Check out the photos to see all that was done to build this exceptional Unlimited.

JK 3.8L V-6s are reliable and gutless. This one isn’t gutless. Adventure Innovations installed its supercharger with Diablo Sports programmer to wake up the little mill. The exhaust features high flow catalytic converters and mufflers. To keep it cool in the desert, a Drake aluminum radiator was installed. Drake aluminum coolant overflow and windshield washer bottles, aluminum-coolant and engine-oil caps, and hood latches were also installed.

The Currie RockJock 60 frontend has 5.38 gears and an Eaton Detroit Locker, protected by a Currie thick diff cover. A PSC ram assist steering system makes steering easy, even in the rocks.
