James Fonnesbeck is the owner of Expedition One and builds some of the best bumpers, armor, and backcountry vehicle parts available today. When the JK Wrangler was introduced in 2006 as a 2007 model, James went to his local Jeep dealer and purchased one of the very first Rubicon Unlimiteds available. He then went to work designing a complete line of bumpers and body armor for the JK.
Along the way, he built a well-balanced Jeep that works as well in the backcountry as it does on the highway. It also spends some time at shows, exhibiting Expedition One’s wares to attendees.
Check out the photos to see why this JK Unlimited works so well.

Expedition One’s Trail Series front bumper retains the OE foglights. They even work, because, unlike some bumper designs, the foglights aren’t sunken into the bumper too far, ruining their beam pattern. PIAA 520 driving lights light up the trail at night.

The PSC hydraulic ram assist steering system allows James to turn the wheels anywhere, even in the rocks when locked up.
