Del and Stacie Albright, full-time career professional land-use-and-access advocates, work as Team Albright, where freedom rules and land access is job No. 1.
Del is a 30-year veteran outdoor writer and photographer, specializing in public land use and access, with his first article appearing in the early 1980s for the National Rifle Association magazine American Hunter. He has served as an ambassador for the BlueRibbon Coalition for the last 10 years. He holds a B.S. degree in forestry and a master’s in environmental planning. If that weren’t enough, he has 14 years of assorted military experience to his credit, attaining the rank of major in the U.S. Army while serving in Special Forces (Del was a Green Beret).
Stacie is an avid land use activist who has served as the ad sales rep for BlueRibbon Coalition and now does full-time marketing and social networking for Team Albright, while helping to fight for trails and freedom. Stacie is the mother of two, with her son Ryan currently serving in the U.S. Army, who, at the time of this writing, is deploying overseas for his second tour.

Del and Stacie look good in the backcountry.
Team Albright needs to be able to travel the backcountry in a competent 4x4. They also use the 4x4 to represent themselves (and us) at events throughout North America. The 4x4 of choice is Red, a 1997 Jeep TJ Wrangler that’s chock full of everything needed to make it a formidable trail rig and great vehicle to attract attention to Team Albright and their land-access efforts.
Check out the photos and captions for more on Red, the Land Use War Machine.
Moreover, thank you, Del and Stacie, for the hard work you do for us, the off-roading community!

The JKS Manufacturing Switchblade adjustable swaybar can be easily set to match Del’s requirements. As he carries a lot of gear, the Switchblade helps stabilize Red in the backcountry and on the road.

The Currie Dana 44 frontend has 4.88 gears and an ARB Air Locker in the pumpkin. CTM U-joints don’t break. The T&T Customs high steer drag link and tie rod are strong and up out of harm’s way. A PSC hydraulic assist system allows Del to steer, even when caught in a difficult situation. A T&T Customs steering skid protects the PSC steering gearbox.

T&T Customs Rock-Tek front...

T&T Customs Rock-Tek front high-clearance Y-Link radius long arms clear most trail obstacles. The axle truss/mounting bracket is also part of T&T’s Rock-Tek suspension system.

Red’s hood is from J&W Jeep Wrecking. Underhood heat is evacuated with the help of GenRight hood louvers. Just out of the photo are Daystar Hood Wranglers that keep the hood from flopping up and down at freeway speed (although that’s more of a JK rather than TJ issue).

The Advance Adapters Atlas...

The Advance Adapters Atlas transfer case sports a 5:1 low range.

T&T’s double triangulated...

T&T’s double triangulated upper and lower rear control arms deletes the track bar and ensures there’s no lateral axle movement. Tom Wood’s Custom Driveshafts built the front and rear CV driveshafts.

A Tomken gas tank skid has protected Red’s tank for many trail miles. The Currie Ford 9-inch rearend has 4.86 Sierra gears and an ARB Air Locker, as well as 31-spline axles and disc brakes.

Metal Cloak’s frame-built...

Metal Cloak’s frame-built bumpers are modular and extremely strong. Red’s holds a Warn Powerplant HP winch and air compressor with MasterPull synthetic rope. PIAA lights are mounted front and rear. Headlights and rock lights are from Roundeyes.com.

Red’s interior is set up for trail comfort and utility. PRP seats keep Del in place while he’s protected by Arabia’s Overkill custom roll cage. Safari Straps keep cargo from shifting, both inside and out. Note the Currie Quick Deflator in the door pocket. We like the sticker propped prominently on the dash. Do you think it’s still there now?

Poison Spyder Crusher Corners...

Poison Spyder Crusher Corners cover past mistakes and protect Red’s corners. Bushwacker flat panel flares are the best quality non-metallic flares available today.

Dave’s Rack from Olympic 4x4...

Dave’s Rack from Olympic 4x4 Products not only functions as a roof rack, it flips over to perform double duty as an awning in camp. Olympic is one of the oldest companies in our industry and has been bringing us innovative products since just after WWII. Red’s top is from Bestop.
