My family went on vacation to Scottsdale, Arizona, and ran into Brent Graef, one of the managers at the Fairmont Scottsdale Resort. Even though it was vacation time and I only had a point-and-shoot camera, I had to take a ride with Brent into the desert to check out his 2008 JK Unlimited Rubicon.
Brent explained his nickname since high school has been Lazy Moose. He never explained why. Guess why his JK is called LazyMoose?
Rock Krawler 3.5-inch coils...
Rock Krawler 3.5-inch coils and Fox 2.0 shocks impressed us during our ride in LazyMoose.
LazyMoose has been modified so Brent can tackle some of the toughest trails around. The 3.5-inch Rock Krawler X Factor long-arm suspension with Fox shocks works well and provides clearance for the 37-inch Goodyear MTR with Kevlar tires mounted on 17x8.5-inch Pro Comp wheels. The weak JK front housing has been sleeved, gusseted, and has RCV axleshafts and a JKS track-bar bracket.
A full complement of Poison Spyder Customs parts is on and under LazyMoose. Check out the photos for more information on this great daily-driver JK that spends its time off on the hardest trails in the West.
LazyMoose doesn't sound lazy.

Yeah, we know, this photo...

Yeah, we know, this photo isn’t the best. The camera was a point-and-shoot. LazyMoose’s OE Dana 44 frontend was strengthened with sleeves and gussets. It was further improved with RCV CV axles, a JKS track-bar bracket, a Poison Spyder Customs diff cover, and 5.38 G2 gears. The OE Elocker was retained. The Fox steering stabilizer keeps shimmy away.

Brent uses his JK. Beneath the splatters, you can see the JKS Quick Disconnect for the swaybar. Why JKS Quick Disconnects when the Jeep is a Smart Bar–equipped Rubicon? Brent likes their adjustability.
