Held in Johnson Valley, California, the 2007 All-Pro Off-Road Jamboree drew 126 registered participants. The two-day event led multiple Toyota enthusiasts through the rugged Hammer Trails.
In just its second year, the All-Pro Off-Road Jamboree has become a popular event for Toyota enthusiasts. The event took place in January at Means Dry Lake in Johnson Valley, California. The area is replete with challenging 4x4 trails that are part of the Hammer trail system and also offers a great variety of terrain to put a vehicle's off-road capability to the test. Organized by All-Pro Off-Road owner Jon Bundrant and marketing coordinator Scotty Cunningham, the event drew 126 registered participants who took part in the action. The overnight temperature was in the single digits and barely got into the 20s during the day. This made for some chilly wheeling, especially for those left on the trails after dark.
Vehicles assembled on the dry lake bed for a 9 a.m. departure and spread out across the desert plains for the many trailheads in the area. We tagged along with Scotty from All-Pro and a group of 20 rigs on a run through the trail After Shock. A moderate to extreme trail with few bypasses, After Shock levied many challenges to most of the vehicles, with minor, trail-fixable breakage occurring. In addition to the many hardcore trail runs being offered, the All-Pro Jamboree also offered an intermediate run for all of the modified Toyota FJ Cruisers and Tacoma pickups in attendance. This run trekked across the desert and led through scenic canyons with sporadic obstacles ranging in difficulty. Some of the more challenging obstacles presented issues for stock vehicles, but those equipped with taller tires and a rear locker passed through without incident.
After the trails, All-Pro Off-Road hosted a Saturday night barbecue dinner as well as a raffle with a lot of great prizes from the event's sponsors. A few unofficial runs were also available on Sunday.
