Cargo Carrier
Being prepared often requires packing more gear than you think will be necessary. The new deluxe folding basket carrier from Valley Industries could be your answer. The carrier features a folding shank that allows the basket to fold up and lock in place when not in use, giving drivers 2 feet of clearance without having to detach the carrier from the hitch. Using 5/8-inch heavy-duty steel allows the carrier to carry as much as 500 pounds of extra cargo. For more information, contact: Valley Industries, (800) 344-3112, www.valleyindustries.com.
No More Blow-by
Jeep 4.2L 258ci engines were produced from '81 to '87 with stock plastic or stamped-steel valve covers that were prone to leaking and oil blow-by. PML's new Jeep valve cover features a large baffle integrated into the cover that blocks the oil and solves the PCV blow-by problem. Integrating the baffle into the casting ensures that no screws will loosen and fall into the valvetrain. In addition, a new billet oil cap has been added to secure the seal on top.
