The Zilla-Tool from Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT) is a versatile device that fits ergonomically into your palm and can be carried either in your pocket (thanks to a stainless steel clip) or on your hip (thanks to a durable nylon sheath).
This gadget has five components: bottle opener, knife, pliers, screwdriver, and wire cutter/stripper. We found the Zilla-Tool to have not only an inspired design, but also fine functionality.
Knife
This 3-inch, semi-serrated blade works great when you're in a pinch. The spear-point knife isn't laser-beam sharp, but it's sharp enough for utility use, such as cutting food, opening packages, or widowing some firewood.
Pliers
The multi-tool's innovative design is mainly dependent on the pliers, which works brilliantly for its class. Plus, it's spring-loaded so your fingers don't have to fumble with opening and closing.
Wire Cutter/Stripper
This is probably more ideal for light-duty or emergency operations, but it's still a nice option to have.
Bottle Opener
The end of the pliers handle actually doubles as a bottle opener when slightly opened and gripped at the right angle. This is great on those hot afternoons when your wheeling buddies pass you a refreshing beverage and you realize it's not of the twist-off-cap variety.
Screwdriver
The handle holds flathead and Phillips hex bits, which can be removed and plugged into a magnetic holder at the end of the handle. Other standard hex bits can also be used. Convenience at its finest.
