New CORR Owner To Bring Series WestWith a new owner at the helm, Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) and the CORR Lucas Oil Series is set to expand beyond its Midwestern roots to bring the successful racing series to California. The CORR organization was founded in 1997 by Marty Reid and has grown to become one of the premier off-road racing series in the country. Jim Baldwin, an off-road racer and major land developer in Southern California, purchased CORR and the production assets of Marty Reid Enterprises and will now put his skills to work in developing the future of the CORR Lucas Oil Series. "California fans, sponsors, and racers have been waiting on CORR to bring its show to the West Coast," noted Baldwin. "This will happen very quickly. Several potential Southern California locations are presently being looked at." Baldwin also added, "I have a passion for off-road racing. CORR is entering a new era, so hold on." Last year, 167 drivers from 20 states and Canada competed in the CORR Lucas Oil Series and 84 hours of racing action was covered on the Speed Channel network.
