Snap-On Tools Displays Strength
Can you stack a Peterbilt dump truck on top of your toolbox? Snap-on Tools can. To show off the strength of the company's new KRL tool storage cabinets, six of the premium, rolling tool-storage units were outfitted with steel plates and wheel chocks to stabilize the weight of the hefty truck. The KRL boxes are built with a double wall of Class-1, heavy-duty steel for strength and stability and use heavy-duty, ball-bearing drawer slides and Snap-on's Lock 'n' Roll system. Recreation Groups Defend Access
A coalition of groups committed to the preservation of recreational access is set to intervene in the latest round of lawsuits addressing management of Forest Service "Roadless" areas. The lawsuits were brought by the states of California, Oregon, and New Mexico, along with numerous environmental organizations led by the Wilderness Society. The lawsuits seek to have the latest "Roadless Rule," which was issued in 2005 by the Forest Service, declared invalid and to reinstate the 2001 Clinton Administration Roadless Rule. The 2005 rule allows governors in affected states to submit petitions to the Forest Service outlining their desired management for the Forest Service Roadless areas in their state. The 2001 rule called for large-scale closure of undocumented roads and trails on public lands without input from the public. Some of the recreational groups involved in the intervening of the challenge to the 2005 rule include the BlueRibbon Coalition, the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, and the United Four Wheel Drive Associations.
