Jeep "Come and Dig It" Event Awards 2007 CompassJeep added something new to its title sponsorship of the U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition in San Diego, California. As part of the "Jeep Come and Dig It" event, a free '07 Jeep Compass was fetched by one lucky winner who found the keys buried in the sand on Imperial Beach. Two hundred potential winners vied for the opportunity to win, each of whom was randomly selected from more than 3,000 entries received from around the country. After the initial frenzy of digging up Jeep summer accessories and beach gear, which were also scattered throughout the search area, 26-year-old Chris Robinson of San Diego uncovered the ultimate prize. The '07 Jeep Compass is Jeep's first front-wheel-drive-based product with a fully independent suspension and is offered in both front- and four-wheel-drive configurations.
