Calmini's heavy-duty transfer case mount and laser-cut skidplate offer ample protection from trail obstacles.
The heavy-duty transfer case mount cradle from Calmini Manufacturing is available for all Suzuki Samurais that use the stock transfer case. It's designed to resist the rotational force of increased torque from installation of lower transfer case gears, but it's also a great aid to stock-equipped transfer cases since the factory mounts are fairly weak and prone to failure. The extreme degree of torque from the lower gears can actually rip the stock transfer case in half when the stock mounts are used. To resist these forces, the new mount integrates with the transfer case for extra support by fastening to stock 'case bolts in multiple locations. Installation hardware simply includes new rubber or urethane mounting bushings and bolts and the new mount. The Calmini T-case cradle is precision laser-cut and offers fully welded construction for extra support. It also features a cutout for the T-case drain plug for easy servicing without removal.
Along with the new cradle, we opted for further trail insurance in the way of a heavy-duty Calmini skidplate. The skidplate not only offers excellent protection to the transfer case but also to the driveshafts, the transmission, and the exhaust system. Installation can be completed in just a few minutes using the provided J-bolts and basic tools (no drilling is required), and it is also easily removable for service access. The Calmini skidplate is precision laser-cut and plated for long life and features a smooth bottom to allow the Samurai to glide over obstacles much more easily without hanging up.

The new T-case mount is easily installed by simply removing the factory support brackets and a few 'case bolts. The Calmini cradle features tabs that integrate with the 'case using stock bolts.

Calmini's Samurai skidplate has a cutout for the transmission crossmember and fits in place without interference from other components. Also note the raised lip on the forward and rearward edges for increased rock protection and the gussets in the corners for additional strength. The mounting bolts will get trimmed before we hit the trail.
