1975 Jeep Cj 5 Shock Towers
The inner fenders were trimmed so that the shock towers could be installed. The shock towers were through-bolted to the frame, and the engine crossbrace was lengthened and bent so it would clear the engine, which had previously been moved forward slightly to accommodate a TH350 trans.		 1975 Jeep Cj 5 Engine Cross Brace

Mike installed the Superlift Superide gas-pressurized shocks at the front and rear. The front shocks offer a 30.7-inch extended length and a 17.7-inch compressed length. The rears offer 24 inches extended and 14.5 inches compressed. With the shocks in place, Mike cycled the suspension to determine bumpstop placement and installed modified Jeep Cherokee XJ bumpstops.

J.E. Reel in Pomona, California, supplied new front and rear driveshafts. The rear uses Reel's latest high-angle creation, which incorporates a Toyota CV head to operate with greater angularity and larger U-joints for increased strength. 1975 Jeep Cj 5 Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip Tires
National Tire & Wheel supplied a set of mounted and balanced 37x12.50R15 Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip tires mounted on 32-bolt, 15x10 Eaton beadlock wheels. The tires are a great fit under the front heavy-duty Alcan spring packs and offer an aggressive tread that should aid the CJ in conquering extreme trails.		 1975 Jeep Cj 5 Trimmed Rear Fenders
Mike trimmed out the rear fenders so the new Parnelli Jones tires wouldn't interfere under suspension compression. The CJ's wheelbase was also extended from 81 inches to 88-1/2 inches by moving the rear axle rearward, so the extra fender cutouts were definitely necessary to ensure maximum articulation.		 1975 Jeep Cj 5 Je Reel Driveshaft
