1967 Jeep Commando - Covering That Old Jeep With a New Soft Top
I carefully slid the top through the front windshield channel, unfolded the top, and pulled it back over the front and rear bows. I deviated from the instructions a bit and installed the footman loops on the rear of the Jeep. These go in the rear corners of the body and not the tailgate. Then I snapped the top to the inside of the rear bow. Once this was done, I ran the inner top straps through the footman loops and cinched them to the tightness I thought the top should be. After that, I rubbed chalk on the top's side snaps (inside) and pulled the sides taut, pushing the snap against the side of the body. This leaves a mark and indicates where to drill the hole to mount the snap. View Related Article
