The bumpers come with complete, easy-to-follow instructions. The installation is very simple and can be completed by a person with minimal mechanical ability. Starting on the front of the Jeep, the air deflector below the bumper was removed. This was accomplished by removing four plastic fasteners.

Next, the front grille came off; there are two plastic screw-type fasteners on the upper left and upper right corners. Once the fasteners were removed, the bottom of the grille simply unsnapped from the lower portion of the radiator support crossmember.

The front bumper was removed by unfastening the four bolts at the end of each framerail. The bumper was carefully lowered down, and the foglight wires were unhooked before lower-ing the bumper to the ground. The new steel bumpers do not come with foglights, and if your Jeep doesn't have foglights already they are available separately from Mopar.

The front factory towhooks have the front bumper's mounting bolts pressed into them. The towhook bolts were placed through the front of the bumper to mount it. Then, the cover was placed over the towhooks and bolted in place. Once this was done, the bumper was able to be raised to the front of the Jeep's frame and bolted in place.
