With the stock NV242 transfer case still in place, its deficiencies are apparent. The long rear slip-yoke creates excessive driveline angles when the vehicle is flexed and the use of funky driveshaft couplers rather than the more traditional (and stronger) yoke and U-joint connection complicates things even further.
