With the Toyota 8-inch axles installed, we'll obtain greater axle strength for our Samurai. The spring-over configuration of the stock Jeep YJ springs creates ample clearance for the 35-inch Pro Comp Xterrain tires.

Suzuki Samurai Axle Upgrade Toyota Axlehousing
We began the Toyota axle buildup using a set of '84 Toyota 8-inch axlehousings. The front was considerably beefed up with a large gusset and skidplate across the front. We also fabricated spring perch plates to fit over the stock perches and also placed the lower shock mounts.
