Full-Traction's Ultimate Wrangler JK Suspension
Full-Traction's Ultimate 3-inch JK suspension system includes: lower control arm assemblies constructed from 2x0.250-inch-wall DOM tubing; upper control arms constructed from DOM tubing; smoothly operating, super-duty, Teflon-lined Heim joints for the lower control arms; cold-wound front and rear coil springs with the proper spring rate; front and rear adjustable track bars; bumpstop extensions; sway-bar disconnects for the Sahara and X models of the Jeep; and all mounting hardware.
With 3 inches of suspension lift on the new Jeep JK, 35-inch tires like these rugged Pro Comp Xterrains can be mounted under the vehicle. While wheeling under these trail conditions, the large tires didn't rub anywhere on the vehicle under any conditions throughout our little adventure.
Looking upward into the JK's factory suspension, you can see the front upper and lower control arms. These arms are longer than the Wrangler TJ control arms. Some consider them a mid-length control arm.
It's business as usual when removing and installing the new suspension system.
Once the front factory coil springs are off, the new bumpstop extension can be installed.
Here, the new Full-Traction coil spring, bumpstop extension, and M-Force monotube shock are in place.
The only factory components reused with the new suspension kit are the rear sway-bar links. Here, you can see why the rear links work so well on the front of the lifted Jeep. Why are there no sway-bar disconnects? Remember: The front sway bar of the Rubicon has an electronic sway-bar disconnect.
Looking forward at the new front control arms, you can see they follow the proper geometry of the factory suspension. The arms are not just sticks of straight steel tube with welded ends.
