The suspension system rides exceptionally well on-highway and off. The major ride-quality test for the staff here in Southern California is a section of concrete freeway that is extremely uneven due to truck traffic and heavy usage in general. The freeway has almost the same washboard surface as a heavily used dirt road. The All-Pro system works exceptionally well over this section of highway; in fact, we completely forgot about the test while driving because we didn't notice any change in ride quality or comfort. All-Pro's kit passed with flying colors.
The system also works exceptionally well off-highway, offering a smooth ride and driving control at high and low speeds. Remember that the shocks have years of Walker Evans racing experience behind them. The 4Runner's increased ground clearance also gives the vehicle the ability to go to far more places off-highway than a 4Runner in factory form. The kit's high-quality construction and superior materials offer unparalled peace of mind.
If you possess advanced mechanical skills, installing this kit shouldn't be a problem for you. The only thing we felt a little uneasy about was disconnecting Toyota's diagonally linked, low-pressure nitrogen shock system; however, its disconnection has not affected the ride quality gained with the addition of the All-Pro suspension.
