Buying Used 4X4s 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport
After a month-long search, I picked up this well-maintained '97 Jeep Cherokee Sport for well under my set budget of $3,000. Gems like this are easy to find if you remain patient in your search and are careful to carry out a detailed pre-purchase inspection of each vehicle you consider.

The factory locking hubs are still in place on this early Bronco. Hubs can be a good indication of abuse and/or neglect: If they're frozen in place they may just need servicing, but it also may be time to replace them. Scratches on the hub face also likely point to heavy trail use - not necessarily a bad thing, but an activity that can result in broken internal parts that can go undetected in a pre-purchase inspection.
