The Fab Fours Jeep Wrangler JK front winch bumper adds protection and style to this new-model 4x4. A new Ramsey Patriot 9500 winch is nestled behind the heavy-duty bumper.
Fab Fours is now offering its new Jeep JK front winch bumper which not only looks great but offers excellent vehicle protection and a winch mount. If you haven't noticed, the new '07 Jeep JK has two large pieces of plastic attached to the front and rear of the vehicle: the bumpers. These factory bumpers may work well in parking lots, but we are sure they won't last long out on the trail.
The Fab Fours JK bumper is built from 3/16-inch plate steel with a hoop made from 1-3/4x1-1/2-inch steel tubing and is relatively light at 140 pounds. The high-strength bumper also features 1-inch integrated D-rings for safe recovery points and also includes high-quality, 90mm Hella foglights and 60mm turn-indicator lights.

The bumper's hoop offers exceptional grille and radiator protection.
The sharp-looking winch bumper does a good job of opening up the fenderwell for oversize tires. The bumper also increases the Jeep's approach angle, giving the vehicle the ability to go more places that require higher ground clearance.
Ramsey's Patriot 9500 winch fits into the Fab Fours JK bumper exceptionally well. The winch has years of engineering quality crafted into it. A partial list of winch features includes a 5.5hp, 12-volt, DC series-wound motor; a three-stage planetary-gear system for fast line speed; a weather-resistant, fully integrated solenoid assembly; and all American construction.

From the rear of the bumper, you can see that the Ramsey fits securely inside; however, clearances are tight. Do not bolt the winch to the bumper until the bumper is securely fastened to the JK's framerails.
Our Ramsey 9500 winch came fitted with synthetic winch line and a wireless remote control which can be used up to 50 feet away, greatly increasing safety. The synthetic line, made from Technora, provides excellent heat resistance, measures 100 feet by 3/8 inch, and features a 1/2-inch Clevis hook with safety latch. A 10-foot rock shield is employed for extra protection against wear and abrasion.
The bumper and winch were installed at Off Road Evolution in Fullerton, California; however, the installation can be performed by an enthusiast with moderate mechanical abilities. Any difficulty installing the bumper is due to the tight clearances when bolting the bumper to the vehicle with the winch inside. Wiring the lights and wireless remote properly also takes some time, patience, and skill.

The Ramsey Patriot 9500 and its controls are easily accessible for recovery once it is installed in the Fab Fours bumper. | Because of the bumper's design, there is now more room in the wheelwells for oversize tires. | Hella foglights and turn indicators are included with the bumper. This is an unexpected bonus: When it comes to new bumpers, we sometimes find the cheapest lights or none at all. |
