The Jeep Wrangler JK long-travel leveling kit from Currie Enterprises effectively lifts and levels stock JKs to accommodate up to 33x12.50 tires. The '07 X-model Wrangler shown is equipped with a set of 32-inch tires and wheels from a JK Rubicon. Spidertrax wheel spacers are also in place to properly situate the wheels beneath the wheelwells.
Many stock Wrangler JKs tend to sit lower in the front, which not only looks awkward but can also affect off-road performance. One method of leveling the Jeep Wrangler JK while also increasing tire size and suspension travel is to install the long-travel leveling kit from Currie Enterprises. It's a great system for the average owner with the everyday JK Wrangler. It will allow you to fit a set of 33x12.50 tires and longer-travel shocks and will also improve on- and off-road handling characteristics.
The Currie long-travel leveling system uses the bare minimum of components to achieve a 2-inch increase in suspension travel. Leveling components include 2-1/4-inch, billet-aluminum front spring spacers, rear coil-spring retainers, extended front and rear sway-bar links, extended steel-braided brake lines, and all of the necessary hardware. Front and rear kits are offered separately to meet a variety of customer needs. Currie Enterprises recommends use of either Rancho RS9000XL or Walker Evans shocks with the leveling system and can provide units with the proper extended/collapsed lengths and valving for the best on- and off-road ride quality.
We hung around the Currie Enterprises facility in Anaheim, California, for an afternoon to get a glimpse of the new long-travel leveling system. John Currie walked us through an installation of the system on an '07 X-model Wrangler, which also received a set of 32-inch JK Rubicon tires and wheels.
