RockJock Professional Off-Road Products from Currie Enterprises now offers the Antirock sway-bar system for Jeep Wrangler JKs. The system replaces the factory sway bar with a torsion bar and steel arm setup that doesn't have to be disconnected for off-road use.
The Jeep JK RockJock Antirock sway bar from Currie Enterprises is a bolt-on system designed to replace the factory sway bar with a torsion bar and arm setup. The RockJock system moves the torsion bar as far forward on the frame as possible to create more leverage. This design effectively balances the suspension and distributes vehicle weight to all four tires for increased traction in many driving situations. Also, since the Antirock sway bar doesn't have to be disconnected for trail use, greater off-road stability is achieved, which is a great aid in reducing the agony of off-camber driving situations, particularly in vehicles equipped with long-arm suspensions.
The RockJock Antirock system will offer slightly more body roll than with the stock sway bar connected, but on-road handling characteristics are still very acceptable. The Antirock system is also much lighter than the factory setup. Still, the best part for some of us, however, is that you won't need to disconnect your sway bar before hitting the trail. Even with the Antirock still connected, you won't have to worry about limiting travel since the shocks and bumpstops will top out/bottom out before the Antirock will.
The Antirock arms secure to the axle using 1/2-inch, adjustable, carbon-graphite Heim end links. The 3/4-inch steel arms are reinforced on the backside and are match-splined as sets for accurate fitment to the torsion bar. Constructed from SAE 4130 heat-treated steel, the torsion bar rides on UHMW bushings set in billet-aluminum brackets that attach to the factory sway-bar bolt holes in the frame. Fabricated steel brackets designed to be welded to the frame are also available, as are lightweight, machined 6061-T6 aluminum arms. Universal Antirock kits are also available for custom applications.
