Jeep JK - Grab a Rack

Chris Duncan shows how easily the gas shocks lift JK Racks' tilt-away roof rack. Unscrew the rubber knobs holding the rack down, and fling up the rack. To bring it back down, JK Racks provides a limiting strap (the model pictured is a prototype that did not feature the limit strap).

With the top open, you now have full access to the top of your vehicle to remove your soft-top cover if need be. Although the prototype wasn't ready at the time of our photo shoot, Chris tells us he is ready to release an awning version of this rack as well. The basket will swing completely over and lock into place, providing an awning to keep you and your family out of the sun at your favorite camping spot.

How cool is this? Even with 35-inch-tall tires, Chris was able to safely get his JK into his average-size garage with the roof rack installed.
