1997 Jeep Cherokee - The Bump Stops Here
The salted roads did more than wear down the stock rubber bumpstop over the years, they also rusted just about every bolt on the vehicle's underside. In removing the stock bumpstop, one bolt on each side sheared off, leaving us to find a remedy for mounting the new Daystar units. The Tri-County Gear crew came up with a simple solution of welding a plate with threaded studs to the area on the unibody where the stock bumpstop was mounted. Once the plate was welded in place, the Daystar extended rear bumpstop was bolted to it.
