2WD To 4WD 2007 Jeep JK Conversion
The Dynatrac ProRock 60 is... The Dynatrac ProRock 60 is equipped with the company's new DynaLoc locking hubs. The DynaLoc hubs offer a low-profile knob within a stainless steel bezel and use heat-treated chrome-moly steel gears that are made in the USA. The DynaLoc hubs also employ the Dynatrac Pro 60 Stub-Hub kit. The shorter length of the Stub-Hub is a big help when navigating narrow obstacles where a longer hub might hang up or interfere with forward motion. As a result, the DynaLoc hubs will sustain less damage in such trail situations. | The Dynatrac Stub-Hub protrudes... The Dynatrac Stub-Hub protrudes less than 3-1/2 inches from the wheel-mounting surface, whereas a standard-length hub would extend more than 5 inches. With the front axle hubs often the widest point of the vehicle, this creates more than 1-1/2 inches more clearance on each side of the vehicle. | | The transmission's 2WD extension... The transmission's 2WD extension housing was also removed from the vehicle. We'll cut down the input shaft inside the housing and use it to mate up the new Atlas 4SP. | | Before the stock crossmember... Before the stock crossmember was removed, a portion of the fuel-tank skidplate was cut off to allow fitment of the new Rancho crossmember. | | Here, the new Rancho crossmember... Here, the new Rancho crossmember is shown mounted in place on the framerails. Note where the new crossmember secures to the fuel-tank skidplate and where the exhaust was cut so as not to obstruct the rear control arms mounts. Exhaust modifications are required for installing the kit, and Rancho offers an after-cat exhaust system designed specifically to be used with the long-arm system. | |
