rancho reverse tri link
2WD To 4WD 2007 Jeep JK Conversion
The factory front control-arm brackets were also cut off the frame. The area was then ground smooth and painted.
Rancho's reverse rear tri-link attaches to the rear crossmember using a supplied mounting bracket. Here, we drilled mounting holes in the rear frame crossmember using the tri-link frame-mount bracket as a guide.
The Rancho reverse tri-link frame-mount bracket was then secured in place using the provided hardware.
The front track-bar drop bracket was secured to the factory track-bar mount. We also sanded the areas where we'll weld the bracket to the factory mount for added security. The kit also includes a new forged pitman arm.
With the rear lower control-arm frame-mount brackets bolted in place on the frame, the final mounting holes were drilled using the bracket as a guide.
The rear-facing tri-link was then secured to the mounts on the rear crossmember and the rear axle raised up so the center mount on the axle bridge could be welded in place. Rancho offers a bolt-on bridge for use on JKs with stock axles. The rear coil springs were also set in place.
The front axle was then situated beneath the JK and connected to the lower suspension arms and track bar.
The front coil springs were also set in place and secured using the factory spring clips. We used a slightly taller spring in order to fit 40-inch tires.
The front upper control arms were also bolted in place using the provided hardware.
