'79-'83 pickups used a torque rod mounted between the front axle and the frame to control axle windup. A torque rod extension bracket or adjustable torque rod is required when more than 3 inches of lift is installed. The stock drag link is shown installed between the leaf spring and the frame. The early push/pull steering box is also visible just above the frame.
