The Skid Row engine/transmission skidplate secures to the undercarriage in multiple locations. Here are the upper mounting brackets, which are bolted to the factory engine mounts on the framerail.	With the front upper mounts in place, the Skid Row skidplate was positioned into place on the vehicle. The Skid Row TJ engine/transmission skidplate fits 4.0L-equipped Wranglers only and may interfere with some aftermarket exhaust headers.
The rear of the skidplate bolts to the factory or aftermarket transfer-case crossmember. We used clamps to hold the skidplate in place, so we could drill mounting holes in the TeraFlex crossmember.	Installation of the Skid Row engine/transmission skidplate was then complete. The 1/4-inch-thick plate will afford excellent protection from rocks and other trail obstacles. Note the use of thick angle stock on the bottom of the Skid Row skidplate to increase strength.	Once the installation was complete, we painted the front mounts black to match the skidplate. The front of the plate is well-gusseted to withstand forward hits as the vehicle moves over large obstacles.
No ground clearance is lost with use of the Skid Row skidplate.	Another vulnerable area on Jeep TJs is the bottom of the radiator, which can snag on obstacles and become damaged.	The Skid Row radiator guard is made from 1/8-inch-thick steel and is designed to protect the radiator from wayward rocks. It's secured under the radiator to the body mount under the grille and the passenger-side framerail. Installation hardware is also included.

Another Skid Row product for Wranglers is its mirror-relocation brackets, designed to reposition the side mirrors to the windshield frame, so they can still be used after the doors are removed.
