Three different sizes of tubing were used for this project. The large radius on the two-inch (largest size in the photo) tubing meant that I'd have big gaps to fill in if I used the same-size tubing in a 90-degree joint. My chop saw wouldn't cut the big stuff at a 45-degree angle, so using mitered corners wasn't an option. All the tubing came from the 'remnant' area of the local metal supplier. Remnants can be purchased by the pound instead of by the foot. It's cheaper to purchase remnants, but you'll probably have to pick through the inventory to avoid cracked or tweaked steel tubing. View Related Article
