QA1 Motorsports' Adventure Series 2.0 shocks are 100-percent hand-built, tested and serialized at QA1's Lakeville, Minnesota, facility. The shocks offer a direct bolt-in fit to Jeep JK, TJ, YJ, and XJ vehicles using QA1's RockTop front mounting system. Universal mount shocks are also offered.
We see a lot of shocks in our line of work. Most are white and include a sticker from whatever company distributes them and it's often difficult to really see a difference from one to the next. After a road test you might recognize some differentiating factors, but for the most part if it walks like a shock, talks like a shock, and looks like a shock ... well, you get my point. Seeking something different than another set of off-the-shelf white shocks we looked to QA1 Motorsports, which now offers a line of off-road shocks to suit a variety of Jeep applications as well as various universal fitments.
Q A1 Motorsports got its start in the early '90s manufacturing high quality rod ends used in racing applications. Today, however, QA1 manufacturers a wide selection of shock absorbers for use in circle track, drag racing, and street performance, as well as the Adventure Series 2.0 shocks created for the off-road market. The Adventure Series 2.0 shocks use QA1's RockTop front mounting system to offer a direct bolt-in fit to Jeep JK, TJ, YJ, and XJ vehicles. The shocks are specifically engineered to provide these vehicles with the best possible ride and control in the widest range of terrain and conditions. Adventure Series 2.0 shocks are also designed to deliver maximum articulation and extreme wear resistance, along with quiet operation and self lubrication. The shocks feature heavy-duty cross shafts at the rear upper mounts, bind-free replaceable lower bearings, and deflective disc valving. The shocks use a large 46mm CNC-machined piston and a 15mm centerless-ground, hard chrome-plated, solid piston rod, all within a two-piece body design. Adventure Series shocks can be owner-tuned and are revalveable and rebuildable. Universal mount shocks are also offered and are available in 6- to 10-inch strokes. The Adventure Series 2.0 shocks for our JK application offer a 9-inch stroke.

The Adventure Series shocks for our JK application offer a 9-inch stroke. The front shocks are 18.06 inches compressed and 26.73 inches extended. The rears are 17.15 inches compressed and 25.81 inches extended. Universal mount shocks are also offered and are available in 6- to 10-inch strokes.
Once mounted to our 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK we put the QA1 Motorsports Adventure Series 2.0 shocks to the test. The pavement ride alone was enough to impress us, but the smooth manner in which the shocks handled a graded dirt road was downright phenomenal. Ample articulation was delivered as promised as the shocks were worked through a series of rocks and ruts. Quite simply, the Adventure Series 2.0 shocks are up to the task of hard-core off-road use, but they will also be right at home on a daily driver vehicle that splits its time between the pavement and the dirt.
Q A1 Rock endsIn addition to shocks, QA1 also addresses the off road market with its Rock Ends misalignment joints. QA1's Rock Ends offer up to 44 degrees of misalignment and are available with bearing or bushing inserts, and in male, female, or weldable sleeve housings. Housings are manufactured from forged Chromoly heat-treated steel and use a 52100 bearing steel ball that is precision ground, heat treated and hard chrome plated. The Rock Ends also feature QA1's exclusive EMB style self-lubricating, self-sealing race, which is injection molded with a high strength Teflon/Kevlar compound. Rock Ends are also available with replaceable economical bonded rubber bushings and in a weld-able sleeve style for fabricators/builders.
