2008 Jeep Wrangler JK - Full Coverage

We have heard rumors that the cross member you see here is the result of regulated bumper height requirements but it also provides protection for our factory sway bar motor enclosure (Rubicon models only).

Our original JK auxiliary lights mounted directly into the new bumper. Functional design points like this are part of what makes the Hanson line of bumpers a first choice for many off-roaders.

As we found at the front end, the stock rear bumper is also largely comprised of plastic covering and light gauge steel.

The new front bumper from Hanson Offroad is fabricated from 3/16-inch steel and finished with a durable powder coating process. Two thick lugs welded to the front of the bumper provide a strong mounting point for shackles or a tow bar. Notice the quality of the weld in the photo.

The new Hanson rear bumper is made with the same high quality manufacturing processes as the front bumper. The cut-out area shown here helps break up the lines of the bumper and provide access to the hitch pin.

The spare tire mount is fully adjustable and can easily accommodate a 35-inch-or-larger tire.

Bracket fabrication is almost always required when securing a Hi-Lift jack onto a Jeep. The swing-away tire carrier on the Hanson bumper is already fitted with two mounting tabs for our jack.

A quick release latch similar to a factory door latch is used to secure the tire carrier in place. Even the spacers under the nylon guide are laser-cut for a perfect fit.

The overall size and fit of the rear bumper is perfect in proportion to the rest of the Jeep and is as attractive as it is functional.
