Poly Performance JK Skid Plate System - Under-Body Armor

The stock fuel tank skid plate is cut to make way for the new transmission skid plate.

The Poly Performance integrated crossmember/skid plate bolts directly to the factory crossmember mounts.

Holes are drilled in the bottom of the JK frame rails for the remaining bolting locations.

The holes in the JK frame rails were then tapped with threads so the provided flush mount Grade 8 hardware could further secure the skid plates.

The transfer case skid plate was supported on a jack and raised in to place behind the Poly Performance transmission skid plate. In order to maintain the flush-mount fit Nick used a hole saw to create a clearance for the mounting bolt for the ARB rock rails, which were previously installed. This isn't necessary when installing Poly Performance rock rails but may be required for some models of aftermarket rocker guards. No skid plate mounting locations were eliminated so it should not affect the skid plate's integrity or purpose.

As a final step in installing the transmission skid plate Nick secures the transmission crossmember to the stock transmission mounts.

Installation of the transmission skid plate was then complete. Installation of the transfer case skid plate was the next step.

With the transfer case skid plate properly located, Nick drilled and tapped mounting holes. Here the provided flush-mount hardware is threaded in to the JK frame rail.

The transmission skid plate provides the maximum amount of coverage to the transmission and also features a cut-out for the front driveshaft. With the transmission and transfer case skid plates installed Nick moved to the engine oil pan skid.

Poly Performance includes heavy-duty cast mounting brackets with its engine oil pan skid plate. The brackets bolt to the bottom of the motor mounts for a secure and stable fitment.

The engine oil pan skid plate is bolted to the cast mounting brackets.

The Poly Performance engine oil pan skid plate also secures to the front lip of the transmission skid plate using provided flush mount hardware. The oil pan skid plate features a cut-out so that the oil drain plug can be accessed with removing the skid plate.
