Jeepin' Mt. BlancaRick Logan's '98 TJ can be seen here conquering Mt. Blanca, Colorado. Rick's TJ is outfitted with a 4-inch Teraflex lift, 33x12.50-inch BFG T/AKOs, a JKS front track bar, JKS front sway bar disconnects, and Rancho RS 5000 shocks. Rick tells us that he custom-built the bumpers, the rock sliders, and the tire carrier. Other aftermarket accessories include a Ramsey 8,000-pound winch, Bestop fender flares, a Tom Woods CV driveshaft and slip-yoke eliminator, and a K&N filter.
Home-BuiltJamie Richardson, owner of this '92 Jeep Islander, states that the rig was trail ready in less than two months after the date of purchase. The Jeep was equipped with a Rubicon 4-1/2-inch lift, a 2-inch body lift, Rancho RS 9000s, and a slip-yoke eliminator from Advance Adapters. The Islander also features 4.56 gears with ARB lockers front and back, 33-inch Goodyear MTRs, and a Tomken tire rack.
Custom CJChuck Walcutt, Jr. and his son Chris have put hundreds of hours into their custom '78 CJ-7. Beneath the hood purrs a heavily modified AMC 401, which is backed by a Turbo 400 tranny and a Dana 300. They took the windshield, the dash, and the half doors off of a '92 YJ and fitted them to the CJ body. The stock Dana axles are equipped with positraction units, and the entire vehicle rides on a custom 4-inch suspension lift with triangulated shackles.
Safari RunThe Easter Jeep Safari in Moab is the where Andy Telford took this photo of his '77 FJ40. The rig is outfitted with a Warn XCL suspension, 4.88 gears, a Dana 60 in rear and a Dana 44 up front with Detroits and Warn axles. The Jeep is powered by a fuel-injected 400 small-block backed to an NP 205 transfer case and a turbo 350 automatic transmission.
