First Jeep
At the young age of 17, Sharina LaMonica is the proud owner of this '97 Jeep Wrangler. She took this photo of her ride at McKinstry Lake on her way to 'wheel the Rubicon Trail. Her Jeep is built up with a 4-inch Pro Comp suspension lift and 2-inch body lift. The Wrangler also features Borla headers, a Gibson exhaust, an intake kit, and 33x10.5R15 TSL Thornbirds mounted on factory wheels.
Built CJ-5
Jim Rock of Vernal, Utah, sent us this photo of his '79 CJ-5 out on the trail. As president of the High Country Four Wheel Drive Association, Jim needed a rig to lead the pack. His CJ-5 features a 304 V-8, which is backed up by a T-150 transmission and Dana 20 transfer case. The transmission was fit with a Centerforce II clutch, while the transfer case carries Tera Low 3.15:1 gears. The Jeep's modifications are too numerous to list, but include an MSD Off-Road ignition system, Hooker competition headers, a M.O.R.E shackle reversal, 4-inch Skyjacker YJ springs, 14-inch Skyjacker long-travel shocks, Warn premium hubs, a Warn 9,000-pound winch, a custom bumper, custom rock sliders, dual gel cell batteries, and 33x12.5R15 Goodyear MTRs on 15x8-inch American Racing wheels.
Moab Ready
Arden Hess of Salt Lake City built this '90 Jeep YJ for 'wheeling Moab. Starting with the axles, the front Dana 30 axle was fit with chromoly axleshafts, oversized knuckles, Rock Ram hydraulic steering, and an OX Locker. A Detroit Locker was added for traction in the rear. The Jeep also features a custom spring-over conversion, a custom six-point rollcage built by Factory Tubular, a Tera Low 4.1 kit, an oversized tie rod and drag link, and 35x12.50R Goodyear MTRs on 15x10-inch Weld wheels.
