Hold Your Breath
Juan Pablo Velasquez is no stranger to fun in the mud. The list of modifications to his Nissan Hardbody King Cab is extensive. Modifications: The standard IFS suspension has been swapped out with a solid-axle conversion, the engine has been replaced with a 175hp Isuzu Trooper engine, Warn self recovery winches front and rear, and so much more. Did we mention he is from Chile, South America? Thank you for the images Juan - it's great seeing how far the passion for four-wheeling travels.
Old-School 'Wheeler
Edmonton, Alberta, 'wheeler Gregory Pretzlaff purchased this '87 Jeep Wagoneer a little more than a year ago and has been rebuilding it with the help of local Canadian four-wheelers. He often takes his rig on fishing ventures that lead him into areas only accessible to modified four-wheel-drive vehicles. Over the past year he has added a BJ's Off-road 6-inch lift, TFI ignition, Dana 44 front and rear axles, and Mile Marker winch.
Blue Bomber
Mike Malakowsky of Jackson, Tennessee, has transformed his once-base-model '94 Jeep Wrangler YJ into a complete trail-ready machine. This rig has been equipped with Detroit Lockers, Rancho 9000 shocks, Warn axleshafts, M.O.R.E. steering, Borla Headers, and a supercharger to help tackle the trails of Tellico close to his home.
Certifiable Jeeps
Craig Brown and his girlfriend Jennifer Schaub are an easy target on the trail with their bright-orange and red paintjobs. They spend hours after work each week wrenching on their trail rigs, getting them prepared for the next getaway. Both of their Jeeps are '76 CJ-5s equipped at nearly the same level. We can hear it now: "Jen, I'm going 'wheeling this weekend. I'll be back Sunday night, OK?" "Not without me!"
